A diecast forum where I am a member of held a swapmeet in a mall near my work area. Like what had happened during the Philippine Toy Convention, I have work that day and I need to be at the office on or before 2:00 PM (preferably before 2:00 PM) and I have to be on the event before the mall opens so that I will have atleast three hours of hunting for good deals. I have been a member of the DCPH (Die-cast car Collectors of the Philippines) forums for more than five months now but I have'nt met alot of guys there, that is why I was really excited to attend the swapmeet. I did see pictures of the previous swapmeet and seeing that there are alot of diecast being sold at the swapmeet added to the excitement. Unfortunately that excitement will soon transform into something else.

I set my alarm to 8:00 AM before I went to sleep. When I woke up it was already 9:45 AM! Apparently, it did alarm but I managed to turn it off without me opening my eyes (bad mannerism >.<). Mall is about to open and I'm still on my bed. I managed to eat, shower, dress up and prepare my things within 30 minutes. Rode the bus around 10:20 and got stuck in traffic from 10:25 to 10:45. ten minutes before 11:00 I was inside the mall. Took my camera to take pictures of the event and the camera wont turn on. I did a quick look around of the displayed diecast and my main lines are no where to be found, luckily sellers are still coming in and alot of them are still setting up their booths. Took pictures here in there from my poor camera phone and did my second look around.
First haul - MOC Hotwheels Ford Escort.
I decided to try and troubleshoot the camera, still not working, proceed with my third look around.
Second and Third haul - Hong Kong made Lancia Stratos for 10.00 pesos and another Hotwheels Ford Escort (thank you sir PinoyChum for the discount! :D).
I did a quick transaction with one of my colleagues (Thank you again sir Jerard of Shilo's Garage!) and went on with my fourth and last look around.
Fourth haul - Matchbox Ford Escort Cosworth.
Not bad for my first swapmeet. Yes I was late, I was not able to take good pictures, I was not able to stay and yes I forgot to buy the Lancia Stratos Choro Q but I did manage to buy a couple of cars and meet some of my fellow collectors and I am happy with that. I just hope that for the next swapmeet I will be able to get more hauls, meet more enthusiast, take good pictures and hopefully I'll have my wife with me and my daughter digging in to the display. Yes, I did see several couples at the swapmeet hunting for toys, that really made me smile. Well so much for the talk, here are some (those who were crisp and clear enough to be posted) pictures from the swapmeet. Again I am really sorry for the poor quality of the pictures, I will make sure that by the next swapmeet or event that I will be going to I will have a decent camera to take pictures with. Thank you and keep on over haulin!
P.S.
Pictures of the haul was taken using my cousins camera. Thank you DJ!
